
Lari Giorgescu, an actor at the I.L. Caragiale National Theatre in Bucharest since 2012, is perhaps the most well-known young Romanian dance-actor who has worked and continues to work under the guidance of maestro Gigi Căciuleanu, in shows such as OuiBaDa and D’ale noastre or Eine Kleine Nachtmusik, the latter also presented at the Enescu Festival in 2018, a show that has received multiple awards.
With over 60 roles in plays such as The Seagull, The Man Who Saw Death, King Lear, Romeo and Juliet, Iona, Wedding in Heaven, or The Mousetrap, his artistic activity is not limited to dance-theatre performances but covers a vast repertoire. Having been cast by major Romanian and foreign directors, such as Cătălina Buzoianu, Victor Ioan Frunză, Horațiu Mălăele, Alexander Hausvater, Iuri Kordonski, Andrei Șerban (for The Cherry Orchard), and Radu Afrim (also known for his innovative stagings), Lari Giorgescu manages to embody complex characters, demonstrating versatility.
