Grigore Burloiu is active as a lecturer in the Animation and Interactivity Department of UNATC, where he coordinates the Master's program in Interactive Technologies for Performing Arts and Media (ITPMA) and teaches creative programming and interactive music systems. His research and development centers on designing and building expressive and generative systems for interaction with music or text.

In 2017, he co-founded the Master's program in Interactive Technologies for Performing Arts and Media (ITPMA) with colleagues from CINETic, where he teaches Creative Programming and Interactive Music Systems and coordinates students' practical projects and dissertations. He is active in developing interactive and/or algorithmic systems that can assist us in the creative process – whether it involves expressive augmentation (of music or gestures), the generation of material (image, sound, text), or the guidance of interactive scenarios or processes (in a performance, game, etc.).

In 2016, he defended his doctoral thesis, Dynamic Music Representations for Real-Time Performance, at the Politehnica University of Bucharest, following a guest doctoral research position at IRCAM, Paris (2014-2015) in the Antescofo project, and having previously completed an MMus Master's degree in Music Technology and Music for Computer (with Distinction) at the University of Leeds.
