
Alexandru I. Berceanu works as a director and researcher in mixed reality. His artistic approach combines playfulness and technology, focusing on the creation of healing narratives and interactive art experiences. His diverse body of work includes animation film, virtual reality projects, installations (some incorporating artificial intelligence and augmented reality), graphic novels, and performative theater installations, which have been showcased both in Romania and internationally.
His creative works include the graphic novel Mickey on the Danube, the VR experiences Atinge (Touch) and Bucharest 41 VR, and interactive installations, the latest of which was featured in the White Imprint exhibition at the Mobius Gallery. His most important recent performances include Through the Forest with Maia, Schrödinger's Cat, Who am I? and The Interface. His findings are published in international journals such as eNeuro, Frontiers in Psychology, NeuroImage, and Psychophysiology. Alexandru is an associate professor in the Animation and Interaction Department at UNATC „I.L. Caragiale” Bucharest, Romania, where he also teaches in the Community and Therapeutic Theater Master's program. He initiated the CINETic Research Center at UNATC and the Master's programs in Interactive Technologies and Game Design at the same university.
