The management of Berliner Philharmoniker decided yesterday night, thanks to the reaction of the Romanian audience and to the way they were received at the George Enescu International Festival, to return to Bucharest, at the 2019 edition of the event.
“We are pleased to be here, in Romania, at the Enescu Festival. For us it is a great privilege. I hope you will be happy with what we have prepared for you. We are delighted to be here”, added the conductor Sir Simon Rattle during a meeting with the journalists organised before the extraordinary concert given on the stage of the Enescu Festival.

Berliner Philharmoniker participated on September 3, for the first time in Romania, at the Enescu Festival, after 15 years of negotiations. 11 tonnes of equipment have been transported to Bucharest for this concert, the heaviest equipment in the history of the Festival. At the moment, Berliner Philharmoniker is considered one of the top three best orchestras in the world.
