Main future projects: Laurent / Roméo et Juliette by Berlioz in Amsterdam, Colline / La Boheme in Barcelona, Golaud / Pelléas et Mélisande in Oslo.

In 2014-15, he sang Don Inigo in L’Heure Espagnole , and Le Fauteuil and L’Arbre in l’Enfant et les Sortilèges  in Japan, , Capellio in I Capuleti e i Montecchi in Paris, Bluebeard / Bartok in Bordeaux,  Golaud / Pelléas et Mélisande, Don Diègue in Le Cid in Paris, Filippo / Don Carlo at the Gars Festival.

In 2012-13 he sang Golaud in Pelléas et Mélisande, Alfonso in Lucrezia Borgia in Brussels, Achillas / Giulio Cesare in Paris.

In 2011-12, he sang Don Esteban in Der Zwerg and Le Fauteuil – L’Arbre in L’Enfant et les Sortilèges in Munich, Le Marquis in Dialogues des Carmélites in Avignon, St. François in St. François d’Assise in Munich, Mephisto in Faust – Gounod in Paris, Le Comte des Grieux  in Manon in Paris, Nick Shadow in The Rake’s Progress in Saint-Etienne, and Lorenzo in I Capuleti e i Montecchi in Munich, Don Inigo in L’Heure Espagnole , and Le Fauteuil and  L’Arbre in l’Enfant et les Sortilèges at the Glyndebourne Festival, Golaud in Pelléas et Mélisande in Frankfurt.

In January 2010 he made his debut in Toronto, singing Escamillo. He then sang Flint in Billy Budd in Paris, Verdi’s Requiem in Tours, Harasta in The Cunning Little Vixen in Paris, Yvonne, Princesse de Bourgogne in Bruxelles, Poquelin in L’ Ecole des Femmes by R. Liebermann in Bordeaux.

In January 2009, he sang Le Roi in the world premiere of Yvonne, Princesse de Bourgogne, by Philippe Boesmans in Paris, then in Vienna. He sings der Tierbändiger and Athlet in Lulu in Lyon, then Paulus in Mendelssohn’s St. Paul oratorio in Bard (USA). In September he was in Madrid for Lulu as the Tierbändiger and the Athlete, then sang Enrico VIII in Anna Bolena in Frankfurt.

In 2008, Frère Laurent in Romeo et Juliette in Toulon, Mephisto in Gounod’s Faust in Bordeaux, Theseus in A Midsummer Night’s Dream in Nice, Harasta in La petite renarde and Don Fernando in Fidelio at the Opéra de Paris.

After having completed his studies at the Paris Conservatory with a “Premier Prix”, Paul Gay continued his vocal education in Cologne in the class of Kurt Moll. He has been a prize-winner of various international competitions, he was engaged as a member of the company at the Opera of Osnabrück in 1997. Here he sang Colline La Bohème, Kecal in Die Verkaufte Braut, Walter in Luisa Miller, the title role of Don Quichotte, Dr Kolenaty in L’affaire Makropoulos.
