Hailed as one of the best Romanian pianists today, Horia Maxim has an intense concert activity – both in Romania and abroad. The high level of his performances is proved in approaching a complex and vast repertory both as soloist alongside the most prominent Romanian orchestras (in more than 500 concerts) and as a chamber music partner of important artists in recitals which took place in Germany, France, Italy, Austria, Japan, Great Britain, Israel, Republic of Moldova and Romania. He is also a founding member of Maxim Quartet (established in 2011). Horia Maxim is frequently invited to perform on the stages of major international festivals such as: George Enescu International Festival (Bucharest, Romania), Europäische Wochen Festspiele (Passau, Germany), The Israel Festival (Jerusalem, Israel), Nuova Consonanza (Rome, Italy) and International Week for the Contemporary Music (Bucharest, Romania). Among his CD recordings, there are also several first auditions.
In parallel with his soloistic career, Horia Maxim is pursuing a supported pedagogical activity within the National University of Music in Bucharest. He is also often invited to support important Romanian and European educational projects.
